Summer is here and that means it is a time of year where many students slide backwards from the progress they’ve made during the school year. Your teachers at Camden want you to continue growing as a learner all summer long! We have created a menu to help you choose some fun things to do over the summer that will give you opportunities to read, write, and use math! What fun learning opportunities can you find from the menu below? The more you do, the more fun you’ll get to have at our back to school celebration in August and the more prepared you'll be for the next grade level!
Start Date: Thursday, June 2, 2016
Due By: Friday, August 19, 2016
Kelli Shopp, third grade teacher, was recently recognized as this year’s Teacher of the Year! Kelly has gone above and beyond this year to meet the needs of her learners. She has taken it upon herself to observe Reading Recovery lessons and rearranged her class schedule to meet with individual students to provide them the resources they need. As a team leader, she handles challenges with professionalism and a positive approach. She seeks out leadership opportunities in Tech Tuesdays, Career Fair and Lego Robotics. She is always looking for new and innovative ways to incorporate 21st century learning. Congratulations Ms. Shopp on this well deserved honor. We are lucky to have you as part of our team!
Jessica LaPeters has been a tremendous asset to Camden Station Elementary. Her continuous efforts have had a positive effect on every student and staff member. She puts in countless hours at the school doing everything from organizing PTA files to painting walls. She does all this with a smile on her face and a servant’s heart. Jessica also collaborates with parents and staff on better ways to serve the families of Camden, and we can always count on her to follow through. Thank you to Jessica LaPeters on being a wonderful parent and volunteer at Camden Station Elementary!
Recently, at the Arts Center, both Kelly and Jessica were honored for their service.
